Wooden tap for barrel: H. Gage / Maker / Melbourne. Beer Tap Wooden tap. 220 mm. 1900s
Excellent. The end would have been inserted in a barrel, this is hollow up to where the tap goes through. The handle slots through the body, this handle is hollow with a hole in one side. When this hole lines up with the hollow chamber, liquid would flow, a twist either way of the tap would cause the holes to no longer be aligned, therefore the flow would cease, simple, yet effective. Some dints and scratches to the wood. A bit of flaking to the bottom where the handle slots through. Grade: 8 Estimate: $20 - 30
